My trip to Harry Potter World!

Hey everyone!

At the beginning of January I went to London for two days with my Dad as an early birthday present. I got to roam around Harrods regardless of the fact that I looked like a complete sewer rat compared to everyone else in the place. I visited the oldest book shop in England, which was an absolute dream! And, most importantly, I got to see the Harry Potter Studio Tour on this trip.

Okay, so incase you didn't know, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Huge. Legit nearly cried when they told me I was going! They have everything you could have imagined and more. A huge Christmas tree greeted us on entry, there were portraits of the cast lining the walls and the Weasley's flying car was suspended from the ceiling! The crew are all amazing, they got everyone so excited, which made it all the more magical! After a short intro the tour began and we were guided into the Great Hall for a feast...haha I wish....

They had literally everything. The classrooms, the mirrors, the portraits, doors, Hagrid's Hut, the creature, shops, clothes, prototypes, paintings - everything! It was so magical and special to see, I can't even explain!

OKAY ART NERDS ARE YOU READY BECAUSE I WASN'T

Of course, I couldn't go to the studio and not try Butterbeer, that would go against all my religion and morals. Speaking of religion and morals, Butterbeer went against them too. The foam tasted like toffee and then the actual (non-alcoholic) beer was really fizzy and strong. Not my kind of thing, but at least I got the beer stein!

Outside they had Pivet Drive, The Potter's Cottage, the Knight Bus, the Wooden Bridge, the Weasley's car that you could sit in and take a picture. Not to mention all the life sized Wizard Chess pieces that featured in the Chamber Of Secrets!

I shit you not when I saw I stopped dead with my jaw singing when I saw the Hogwarts Express, it was AMAZING. You get to climb aboard and look into all the carriages (that have miscellaneous items). They had figures aboard too to reenact some of our favourite moments! And because the studio is THE BEST, they have a trolley half stuck into the wall so you can get your picture taken as you cross the barrier!

For the finale, we were greeted by a full blown model of Hogwarts itself. I genuinely would have cried if I wasn't wearing 7 layers of makeup, it was breathtaking! And unfortunately the closest thing I'll ever get to Hogwarts...no I'm still not over the fact that I'm not a witch okay!

I'm 5'9 and it makes me look like a midget, just sayin'

I thought these were really lovely touches to the end of the tour. Across all the walls were hundreds and hundreds of wand boxes, with all of the names of the people who worked on the films. And then a little quote from the person who began it all <3

I hope you enjoyed this post, and that I've persuaded some of you to go and see it because you need to! Everyone needs to!

What's In My Handbag - Travel Edition

Hey everyone!

As I was in London a couple of days ago, I took it as an opportunity to test out this cute little backpack and whether it is good for traveling. So, today I am giving my verdict and I thought I might do a little 'what's in my handbag' too.

Besides, who doesn't love having a peak at what other people deem absolutely necessary to have?!

This is was bag of choice. It is a small, black rucksack that I purchased just last week in Penneys/Primark for only €12! It's so pretty, and has beautiful gold detailing on the zippers, buckles and fasteners. It is also a drawstring close and has an outer fastener!

So what is in my bag?

As I am travelling I have to pack light, so I have chosen just a few little necessities to keep me entertained and running.

1. Deodorant
2. Carmex (lip balm)
3. Tissues
4. Hair tie
5. Powerbank (€6 from heatons!)
6. Kindle
7. Purse and Sterling

What's the verdict?

Honestly, I was sceptic about the safety of my belongings in this bag as it only has a draw string and a fastener. I was left pleasantly surprised as the draw string DID NOT BUDGE, no matter how much crap I shoved in! If you're looking for a small, cute and sturdy bag to bring travelling - this is the one!

So that's everything that's everything! I hope you enjoyed this post!
